Interview With A Leader: Analysis

Interview With A Leader: Analysis In the first part of the course work, I made a report about a business person who made impact on me. His behavior and aims which he has already achieved made him my idol in my life. Nothing is perfect this quote is true, the person I chose does not know English, so I have just talked with him in Uzbek, and asked his opinion and ideas about following five criteria personality, motivation, leadership, team and group working skills, and decision making. I chose a person who made impact on me because he has very strong emotional control on himself, also he is very optimistic; he is a business person who manages a credit union in Tashkent. His name is Ilyaos, he was born in Samarkand in a simple family in 1981. In his childhood he wanted to study and work in Tashkent. During these all time I have learned many practical things from him. As he says: I became independent in 1994, and started my own way. So that is why he is so independent nowadays. In 1999 he passed entrance exam to the Finance institute in Tashkent, successfully. He had financial difficulties while he studied in institute. Because of that he had to work after the studies. He studied very hard and the result was a graduate ship red diploma of Tashkent Financial Institute in 2003. In 2005 he began working as a teacher in Finance Institute in Tashkent. In 2010 he got a PhD degree from Insurance. In addition, nowadays he teaches Insurance subject in the Academy of Bank and Finance and also in one time works as a manager of Credit Union. If we look to the theory to the personality it could be said that personality is the sum of ways in which an individual reacts and interacts with others (Robbins, 2003). In the reference from the Jungs theory that the personality of the individual I chose, can be clarified as an extraverted. Because, he speaks a lot, as we know that extraverted people first speaks and thinks. And also, according to the Big Five Model, Ilyos aka can be put into the personality group of extroversion, because he tends to be gregarious, assertive, and sociable. In my opinion, difficulties in his student life made him very strong. When we talked, I said that difficulties make person stronger if he does not give up and solves them. Then Ilyos aka said that: You will be stronger if you know something to give up and do not be upset. He always says: If you are making decisions, always remember that new things must be more useful and beneficial than your older ones. His life experience and skill which he is gaining made impact on me. Because, when we are having discussions he always wins. He reads books every day, watches news and analysis. That is why, he always the first in discussions. Once I wanted to reflect on him, I wanted to be like him in talking and thinking. It was difficult, but one day I won him in discussion and then he said: Good job, boy! Motivation Motivation is a passion to work for reasons that go beyond money or status (Robbins, 2oo3). As we learned from lectures there are two types of motivation such as internal and external. For example, for the person I chose intrinsic motivation is his own future plans and extrinsically motive is money. Before motivating others, you yourself should be motivated first, for the reason that if, someone hesitates, he/she will hesitate others, too Ilyos aka said. As for him, money is the strongest motivator in the world. In addition, in order to be motivated himself, a person should have strong personality, and optimism, said Ilyos aka. According to the Joyce S. Osland, 2001, most effective leaders are alike in one crucial way: they all have a high degree of what has come to be known as emotional intelligence. It is not that IQ and technical skills irrelevant. And also in this book there was given a research in Leadership and management which was done by author and his friends. They have found five components of emotional intelligence at work. Self awareness is the first component of emotional intelligence which makes sense when one consider that Delphic oracle gave the advice to know you thousands of years ago. Also, self awareness means having a deep understanding of ones emotions, strength, weakness, needs, and drives (Joyce, 2oo1). When I asked him to speak about leaders and leadership skills, he bound leadership skills with motivation, as for him motivation is the most important tactic for leaders and managers, and said that without knowing motivation no one can be can have leadership skills. As I mentioned above he likes to read books about psychology, during the interview he gave example of ideal leader. He said the words of the leader who got one million dollar a month, There is nothing bad for employees except the punishment of their manager. As for me the same situation, I always tried to encourage the people with good words. Leaders should know what his employees want, and always should respect others ideas. Ilyos aka said that: Your works and results should speak instead of you. For example, when he worked in commercial bank as a manager, he had always a good communication with his colleagues. I think, having good communication is good, however manager should remember that he leads the company. So, my o pinion is that managers should be a bit strict with his employees. Team and group working skills A team is a small number of people, with complementary skills, who are committed to a common purpose, performance goals, and approach for which they are mutually accountable. A group is defined as two or more individuals, interacting and interdependent, who come together to achieve particular objectives. Groups can be either formal or informal. (Katzenbach and Smith, 1993) The nature of Teamwork occurs when a group of members work together in ways that utilize their skills well to accomplish a purpose. The person I chose has some lack of team and group working skills because when I observed his speech in some meetings he always tries to be first and talks a lot and loud. According to Arts of Communication by Dale Carnegie there was written about that if a person wants to have more audience and friends that person must learn to listen to them. However, he always tries to be in the center of the attention. Speak a lot, gives interesting facts. As for me, it is cannot be seen as a good skills, he has some minus in team working. For example, he should learn how to listen to the others idea. Decision making Then he gave an example of buying his flat as a decision for his own purpose. On the other hand, when he chaired the meeting in his credit union almost always decides regarding to the purpose of the organization.

Bisphenol A Essay -- Chemistry, Polycarbonate Plastics

In society, Bisphenol A is also known as BPA it’s important and relevant in some areas like in cars and medical equipments and not so important for the human body. BPA is mostly link to metal cans. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the molecular process, the real world applications, and the advantages and disadvantages of Bisphenol A. Bisphenol A has deep connection in the can making industry, in the NACAR business and the history of Bisphenol A. Bisphenol A is a chemical building block that is used primarily to make polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. Polycarbonate plastics is a plastic that is lightweight, it’s a high performance plastic, that possesses a balance of toughness, stability, optical clarity, high heat resistance and excellent electrical resistance. Because of these abilities, polycarbonate is used in a wide variety of common products, such as us in CD’s and DVD’S. An epoxy resin begins with the reaction of two compounds, Bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin. Epoxy is a thermosetting epoxies polymer that cures when mixed with a catalyzing agent that makes the hardness of the can. What this means is, when you are making polymer, when you are mixing these two chemicals together you get a hardness that is made and put into cans to give their hardness. According to Dr. Castan of Greenlee (1936), The request for epoxy is based on materials that are extensive and have include coatings, adhesives a nd complex materials such as those using carbon fiber and fiberglass reinforcements. (Greenlee and Castan, paragraph 2). Also Epoxy resin is a hard substance created when two substances, an epoxies and a polyamine, are combined. In most cases the two chemicals are epichlorahydrin and Bisphenol A. Bisphenol A was invest... ...ic no steroidal estrogen diethylstilbestrol (DES) during their pregnancies between 1948 and 1971 and have 2.5 times the normal incidence of breast cancer. In general, my topic is Bisphenol A and it has a muti-step molecular process which allows many real world implications, such as cancer, over weight. In addition Bisphenol A molecular process involves a hard way molecular process which allowed bathing the polymers letting it cool down, and then making the diepoxy polymers. And tying it together with an electron at each end. This disadvantage doesn’t help the human body because it makes you body weak and you can’t treat these health issues. In our society Bisphenol A could offer a solution to the problem of human body and lower the health issues down. And also many people can start making healthy choice’s in life instead of eating can food try fresh food instead.

“Broken home”: what is it and what are its consequences

Relationships between parents and children have always been a significant topic to discuss and a serious matter to think about. In fact, they are the essence of the family life and the basis of children’s formation as a personality. It is important to pay attention to these relationships because they are usually tensed and strained. When a child is grown up in a family where he/she feels indifference and coldness he/she will take such vision of mutual relationships into his/her own adult life. Love and care of the family members have a crucial impact on the child’s psychical development.â€Å"In the English language, â€Å"broken home† refers to the family where the bonds between mother, father and children have turned sour or ruptured; individuals are weakened or uprooted as a result† (Fend â€Å"Broken Home†). This term is used to note a family in which love, care, and understanding are absent. Every family member is a victim. Nobody wants to blam e him-/herself, nobody cares about other person’s feelings, and nobody wants to suffer. Parents are quarrelling among themselves and as a result have no time for their kids.Sometimes it can be even worst – parents blame their children in all problems. No doubt, such a family cannot be useful for a society as it cannot be useful even for its own members. In the â€Å"broken home† family relationships are broken. For a child life in such a home is a nightmare. As we all well know, every child needs love and attention. Without these elements child will suffer emotionally, thus he/she won’t develop as a well-balanced personality. Moreover, child in such a family will always be between his/her fighting parents. The kid loves both parents equally and wants them to leave in mutual love and respect. When the child sees his/her parents quarreling, he/she may think that he/she is the reason of their disagreement. This awareness makes the kid’s life more compl icated. The famous Papa Roach’s song reflects the child’s feelings and emotions which he/she experiences while leaving in such family. The kid begins to blame his-/herself in all parents’ problems: Broken home†¦ all alone I can't seem to fight these feelings . . . . . . . . . .. . . And my wounds are not healing I'm stuck in between my parents . . . . . . . . . . . . . I know my mother loves me, but does my father even care If I'm sad or angry you were never ever there . . . . . . . . . . . . . What’s wrong with me (1-2, 4-5, 13-14, 20) That’s why parents should pay due attention to their mutual relationships, as well as to the relationships with their kids. Life in a â€Å"broken home† negatively influences kid’s growth. â€Å"Broken home† is a serious problem families must deal with.Such type of family is characterized by constant cry, fear, and tears. On the contrary, well-being family is characterized by love, care, an d joy. The parents’ divine duty is to make their home a desirable place for leaving, a place where their children will always want to go to. All that is needed to make a kid happy is just a sincere hug, a word of support, a smile, and a tolerance. Parents should try to be patient with each other and not to quarrel about trivial things. And even if they do quarrel, they should make sure their kids are not witnessing this.Every problem can be solved if there is a mutual desire, even the problem of a â€Å"broken home†. Why are so many people unhappy? Why do they perceive mutual relationships as a constant mortification and pain? The answer is simple: they were grown up in â€Å"broken homes†. Our task is to ensure joyful and happy life for kids and to eradicate the phrase â€Å"broken home† from our language. Works Cited Fend, Peter. William Shakespeare s Twelfth Night - 1309 Words

Shakespeare s Twelfth Night is a critical Elizabethan-era work that explores attraction and sexuality within the relationship between Viola (as Cesario) and Duke Orsino. Her role is one of steadfast love towards Orsino; she willingly courts Olivia on his behalf as Cesario, burying her feelings for him because she cares that he is happy. There is a rigid dichotomy between Viola and Orsino’s passion; where Viola is steady, Orsino is inconsistent. Feste states directly to Orsino that his â€Å"mind is a very opal† (2.4.71) which implies he is constantly changing what he wants and is more in love with the idea of love rather than Olivia. Duke Orsino’s evolution from a typical Petrarchan lover to passionate love, through trials of gender confusion†¦show more content†¦Orsino’s selfishness is shown through his identification of her deep love for her brother through her mourning and how he can claim â€Å"her sweet perfections with one self king† (1.1.39). Nothing is ever specifically noted about Olivia that he is passionate about other than her capacity for love, which reveals Orsino’s true intentions of loving love. In the context of other works of the era, the Orsino found in the opening acts is a common character of the time. He woefully mopes around pining for love, without cause or action, because he feels the need to be loved. This side of Orsino sets up the development of his relationship with Viola and provides a comparison for the other couples in the play. Shakespeare used this character type as both a narrative device and a nod that the â€Å"common† plays and poems of his day missed the mark on what the true concept of love is. Other than his unwillingness to follow through on his passions, Orsino is noble â€Å"in nature as in name† (1.2.25) which would be typically make a very attractive suitor for Olivia. These characteristics are what makes Viola fall in love at first sight when she joins his court under her alias. She is able to integrate herself immediately in the Duke’s court due to her wit and charm, much like how she gained the trust of the captain prior to her departure to Illyria. Orsino is incredibly quick to trust Cesario having â€Å"unclasp d to [him] the book even of [his] secret soul† (1.4.11) and sends him on
